Exercise 11 - Whole-Body Connection, Dan T'ien, Kua

This exercise is also a test that you can give almost any martial artist and he will fail it. This begins exercising whole-body movement, dan t'ien rotation, opening and closing the kua, along with the ground path and peng jin.

Your partner stands sideways like the old "teapot" in the children's song, his arm like a handle. If he is using his right arm, you are on that side and grab his arm with your right hand, as in Photo 11-A.

Establish the ground from your left foot to the right hand.
